Training that fits into your life instead of taking it over — so you get stronger, move better, and have more energy for the things you actually love doing.
A good routine should enhance your life, not consume it. Paired with good nutrition and sleep, these four stones build fitness that lasts — and carries over to whatever you love doing, from the trail to the field to everyday life.
Build the foundation that makes everyday life easier — lifting, carrying, climbing, and staying resilient as you age.
Develop the engine for hikes, rides, runs, and long days, at a pace that builds you up instead of wearing you down.
Keep joints healthy and movement easy, so you can do more of what you enjoy with fewer aches along the way.
Rest is part of the plan. Smart recovery, sleep, and nutrition are what make progress stick.
A cairn is a stack of stones that marks the trail — each one a different shape, placed carefully on the one below, all balanced into a single solid structure. Cairns have marked paths across Ireland for thousands of years, just as they guide hikers on Colorado's trails today. Cairnmore comes from the Irish carn mór, meaning “the great cairn”: the one built to last.
That's how I think about fitness. Strength, endurance, mobility, and recovery are different stones. Built steadily on a good foundation, they become something that holds up for life — and points the way to wherever you want to go next.
New to exercise or not sure where to begin? We start where you are and build habits you can keep.
Life got busy, or an old routine stopped working. Let’s rebuild steadily and confidently.
Maintain the strength, mobility, and energy to stay active and independent for decades to come.
Preparing for a race, a big event, or a full season? Build the strength, conditioning, and resilience to show up ready and stay healthy all the way through.
Sport has been part of my life for as long as I can remember — wrestling, two decades of competitive rugby, MMA, a half Ironman, and plenty of long days on road and mountain bikes. Those activities were the reason I stayed in shape, and I believe there's something out there for everyone that can do the same.
Fitness hasn't always come easy. I've seen what obesity can do within my own family, and I lost over 60 pounds myself — slowly, over several years, by changing habits around food, exercise, and recovery rather than chasing quick fixes.
As I've gotten older, recovery takes longer and time is in shorter supply, so I've built a routine that balances strength, conditioning, mobility, and rest. Fitness has carried me through hard seasons and made the good ones better. Helping other people feel that is why I became a trainer.
Before training, I spent more than twenty years in sales leadership and operations, most recently leading a national team. The part I loved most was coaching people one at a time: listening first, setting clear goals, and staying accountable together. It's the same way I coach fitness.
Stepping away from that world to become a bicycle mechanic and a trainer was a deliberate choice, part of putting my own health and wellness first and leaning into the habits and passions that keep me well. I know what it takes to rebuild your habits around a full life, because I've done it.
My professional background on LinkedIn
"I exist to serve by empowering growth."
You don't need a trainer beside you for every workout. I'll build your program, teach you how to do it right, and stay in your corner with weekly check-ins, so you can train on your own time at home or at the gym.
A quick phone conversation to understand your situation and goals, and to make sure we’re a good fit.
Our first in-person session. I’ll have reviewed your intake form and come ready to dig into your history, goals, and the space and equipment you have.
I design a program around your life — one you can do at home, at the gym, or outdoors.
Hands-on sessions to teach the techniques in your program, so you can train safely and confidently on your own.
Most days, you work your program independently, on your own schedule.
Weekly check-ins keep you accountable. We adjust the plan as you progress, with follow-up technique sessions whenever you need them.
Founding clients: coaching is complimentary while I build my practice, and you keep a reduced founding rate for as long as you train with me once paid pricing begins. All I ask is honest feedback along the way.
No pressure and no sales pitch. Send a note and I'll reach out to set up a free phone call about where you are, where you'd like to be, and whether we're a good fit.
